Who We Are
Caring Women’s Connection (CWC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women, children, and community programs in need throughout Lake County.
Our mission is to build meaningful connections—among our supporters, local charities, and the broader community—while raising funds through events and donations to directly benefit those we serve.
As an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff, every dollar goes further, creating real impact where it’s needed most.

Caring Women’s Connection began in 1958 as a way for women in Hawthorn Woods to connect and give back. Over the years, we’ve grown beyond our original roots—welcoming members from across Lake County who share our passion for community, charity, and connection.

Giving from the Heart: The Love Fund 💛
Caring Women’s Connection, we give from the heart through our Love Fund, supporting outstanding local organizations that serve women, children, and families in need.
What is the Love Fund? It’s where our proceeds from our fundraising events throughout the year go directly into, allowing us to provide critical resources to shelters and community programs across Lake County.
The impact is real, and it’s powerful. Every donation, every act of kindness, helps create brighter futures.

Our monthly CWC Connections email keeps members, volunteers, donors, and friends updated on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and community impact stories.

Grant Requests
Caring Women’s Connection accepts annual grant applications from qualified nonprofit organizations serving women, children, and families in Lake County. The applications are posted to the website in early January.
Applications are available online and must be mailed to:

📬 All applications must be postmarked by April 1.
Our Board reviews all submissions and awards funding by June 30, based on alignment with our mission and the demonstrated needs of each organization.
